Sunday August 3rd, Bringhurst UMC will be welcoming Pastor Rex Charles and family with a carry-in lunch after the Sunday morning worship service. Please plan on attending and bring a side or dessert if possible.
Tuesday August 5th, Play School Parents Meeting at the Flora UMC at 7:00p. Please contact Deb Foreman if you have any questions.
Thursday August 7th, The Blood Mobile will be at the Flora UMC from 10:00a until 2:00p, please come and support by giving blood.

Friday August 8th, Flora UMC Craft Night, 6:00p until Midnight at the church.

Sunday August 17th, Flora UMC All-Church Sunday School Party following the morning worship service. Everyone is needed. This will be our celebration of Promotion Sunday. Wear a jersey representing your favorite sports team.

Monday August 18th, Bringhurst Finance Committee will be meeting at 7:00p at the church.
Wednesday August 20th, Bringhurst UMW Tea, 6:00p at the church.
Wednesday August 20th, 345 Ministry kick-off event held at the Flora UMC at 3:45p until 5:00p. All children 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are welcome. Spread the word and invite your friends for a fun time growing together in Christ.
Thursday August 21st, Please join us for our 6th United Methodist Women's Tea at the Bringhurst UMC at 7:00p. All women are invited and encouraged to attend. Jo Pugh and Jan Roland from Attica will give a fine program with "Chalk Talk". Jo will be drawing a beautiful picture using chalk while Jan plays hymns on the piano. The talents of both ladies compliment each other as they deliver the message. The program will be followed by special desserts, sandwiches, tea, and punch. Please R.S.V.P. to Mary Simpson at 268-2701 or the church office at 967-3989 by August 15th.

Friday August 22nd, All are invited to join us as we go to Indianapolis for the Music Builds tour concert series. featuring Jars of Clay, Third Day, Switchfoot, and other bands. It is my pleasure to announce to you that Rev. Rex Charles has been appointed as pastor at Flora and Bringhurst UMC effective July 1, 2008. Your Pastor Parish Relations Committee met with Rex and his wife, Kathy, and discerned that this is an appointment that God will love to bless. Rex and Kathy have one son and one daughter. He has been serving at Waterloo UMC and previously served in the Rossville area.
